Overview
Largest in number of all animal phyla, these creatures have a body divided into head, thorax and abdomen each with a pair of jointed limbs all covered in a hardened exoskeleton. The majority of marine arthropods are crustaceans, ranging from the sedentary adult barnacles to very mobile crabs and prawns.
