THE AUSTRALIAN MARINE CONSERVATION SOCIETY HAS BEEN SELECTED AS CHARITY OF CHOICE
View Sea World is proud to announce The Australian Marine Conservation Society has been selected as its charity of choice.
SEA WORLD BRINGS A SMILE TO A SICK LITTLE GIRL!
The Starlight Children's Foundation and Sea World have brightened the day of six year old Ella when she met 'Starbuck' one of Sea World’s beautiful dolphins.
Ella, who suffers from heart failure and liver disease, has undergone two ten hour operations to remove a benign tumour and prevent the need for a liver transplant.
Since treatment, Ella's condition has greatly improved and she is now an active little girl who loves ballet and adores the dolphins at Sea World.
Sea World is proud to support the Starlight Foundation by helping to grant the wishes of hundreds of Starlight kids over the years.
Sea World Director of Marine Sciences, Trevor Long, said that Starlight is a fantastic organisation.
"We have many Starlight children visiting Sea World, and it is wonderful to grant their wishes of visiting the park and meeting their favourite marine animal."
"The dolphins are amazing animals and it is great to see the smiles and joy on the faces of these special kids when they are able to touch and interact with them" he said.
On Friday 1st May over 5000 volunteers will collect donations and sell merchandise at selected shopping centres and train stations across Australia for Starlight Day, the major fundraising day for the Starlight Children's Foundation.
