Overview
Ever wanted to know what it's like to be a dolphin trainer? Well now you can find out as part of Sea World's Trainer for a Day program where you can learn how the trainers at Sea World look after and train dolphins - one of the world's most amazing marine animals.
The experience includes:
- A tour of Dolphin Bay with a Marine Mammal trainer, who will introduce you to some of the animals you will be working with that day.
- An educational lesson where you will learn about the park's role in rescuing and caring for stranded marine mammals.
- A tutorial on how to train animals, in particular dolphins.
- A thirty minute lunch break.
- A behind-the-scenes tour of Polar Bear Shores.
- An experience of a lifetime as part of a group in-water encounter at Dolphin Bay.
- A souvenir photo.
Program commences at 10:00am and the duration is 4 hours and 30 minutes.
Each experience is unique based upon the guests, trainers and animals.
The Trainer for a Day program is available to guests aged 14 years of age and over at a cost of $300.00* per person.
The use of a supplied wet suit or rash vest and board shorts is required in all water-based programs and is included in the cost of the program. Sizes range from XS to 7XL.
